Career Objective
Applying for the post of Petroleum Engineer with major interest area being in drilling. Inspired with the independence of character & ambition of the people working as petroleum engineers. This is the wellspring of my desire to work in this field.
Professional Experience
Though I don’t have hands-on experience, I am prepared to learn during my training and execute my knowledge whenever needed. My interest in the field of Petroleum developed during my First Year of Bachelor of Engineering as I learned of the great scope this field offers to know the complete process of how oils and gases are explored in the world and the end-to-end knowledge of how these are further processed to manufacture various chemicals and polymers which was my major during my engineering.
Another major reason while applying for a job as a Petroleum Engineer is the kind of incentives and salaries offered in this field. As this is the age of immense competition, I have made myself flexible and mentally prepared to take up the challenging tasks for my better survival, though it might ask tremendous mental and physical toughness. By virtue of my readiness to accept challenges and to work on it with 100% endurance, I would like to present myself to work as a petroleum engineer.
From the last two years, I am working as a Software Engineer in the largest software company of India named as Infosys Technologies Ltd. I have gained a good amount of knowledge in IT during this job. But, while working as a software engineer at present, I find myself restricted inside a small cubicle with hardly any need of physical movement and a minimal man-to-man interaction. This has made me even more passionate towards petroleum field which needs me to move around the world for my job and also immense scope of human interaction.
Also, on qualifying as a Polymer Engineer, I have always wanted to use my knowledge in petroleum industry to find the innovative applications of polymers in it. One can visualize the need for such materials in several areas where current materials technology leaves scope for improvement, such as drilling, reservoir or service industry. It has whetted my interest and opened to me a window of opportunity for carving out a niche as a successful petroleum engineer.
I have successfully completed my final year project at the renowned National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, INDIA.
