Drilling Supervisor, Toolpush

My name is Bob Hoffart. I started work in the oil patch as a roughneck 35 years ago and worked my way up to Driller. I was a Driller, for 10 years, working on doubles & triples. Depths were from 1,000 to 5,000 meters.

I have also worked as a toolpush for 6 years on the same types of rigs, and have conventional rotary, topdrive, jacknife, telescopic & coil tubing rig experience.

Part of my experience has been to work offshore for 1 year in the position of Driller on a drillship, the “Sagar Prabat”. This was off the coast of India for Viking Offshore. I also have some motion compensator experience.

My specialty is land based rigs in the 2 to 4 thousand meter range. I have vast experience doing directional, vertical & horizontal holes, as well as some under balance wells.

I have worked with gel chem., invert, kcl & polymere mud systems. I control and manage kicks professionally and safely.

I am well versed in all aspects of well control.

I started Oilfield Consulting/ in Jan 2005 and have enjoyed working in this position since I enjoy working under pressure. Drilling supervisor is a great job which I really enjoy.

My goal is to get employment over seas with a company that will value my skills and loyalty. A position as either a drilling supervisor, rig superintendant or toolpush would be what I am looking for.
