Professional Experience
• Generate requests for and supply all ammunition and explosive ordnance, vehicles, medical personnel and supplies. Coordinate logistical support for Joint Task Force Horn Of Africa (JTFHOA) field operations. Responsible for Ammunition/Explosive Ordnance Emergency Destruction/Hazardous Materials Disposal field operations and procedures according to OPNAVINST 5530.13 (series) and other DoD Regulations.
• Enforce and supervise adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures for Ammunition and Explosives (Class V [W]) Ashore and Afloat at Camp Le Monier Basic Load Ammunition Holding Area in Djibouti, Africa. Directly maintain accurate account and records (ROLMS), safe storage, warehousing, transport, disposal of and correspondence concerning all ammunition, explosive ordnance, and hazardous materials.
• Responsible for Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Material Handling Equipment Safety, Hazardous Waste/Materials Handling Procedures, Vehicle Safety Inspections, Explosive Safety, Quantitative Distance, and Operation Risk Management. Aiding in the development and maintenance of safety contingency plans aboard Camp Le Monier.
• Acting as an interpreter for local nationals and the American military (AFRICOM) in French and Arabic. Speak, read, and write Italian, Spanish, French, German, and Arabic. Native Italian speaker.
• Supported Security Operations (Personal Security/Interrogation/Translation) in Iraq and Afghanistan. Aided Department of Defense and other civilian contractors with translation and interpretation, contract negotiation, marketing, logistics, and supply chain (including but not limited to LEAN and Six Sigma) in the Middle East, South West Asia, and Europe.
• Translated legal documents as well as subtitles, bills, medical and insurance documents. Instructor in a classroom environment of various foreign languages.
• Proficient in ULLS, FEDLOGS, and all Microsoft programs.
