Process Engineer

*From October 2007 till now: Process engineer in SEREPT-OMV OFFSHORE OIL COMPANY in TUNISIA
Tasks
ĉ Routine daily and long term monitoring of critical process variables
ĉ Provide process troubleshooting support, make technical recommendations, answer technical inquiries, improve process engineering tools, and develop process procedures
ĉ Provides technical recommendations and engineering support during planned unit turnarounds
ĉ Perform process monitoring on day-to-day operations
ĉ Identify and troubleshoot process limitations/problems and lead in resolution
ĉ Follow trends in operational data and identify potential problems in early stages, communicate suspicions, and work toward avoidance resolution
ĉ Reduce cost of existing process through energy conservation, unit optimization
ĉ Identify needed design or operational changes to maintain effectiveness of process (HAZOP & HAZID study)
ĉ Advise Management of operational changes needed to achieve process goals and requirements
* From November 2001 to September 2007: Process (engineering &operation)engineer in the gas plant owned by STEG (TUNISIA)( Process manager from since 2007)
Tasks:
ĉ Head of a 28 person team which is responsible for the exploitation of vital process units the gas plant (distillation column, heater, boiler, refrigeration system,compressor, separator& filter, storage..)
ƒâ Ascertain the optimized process parameters using the Simulation and design software (ASPEN HYSYS2006/PROII) (distillation column efficiency, specific consumption, maximum LPG recovery, thermodynamics performances of the refrigerating and the boiler process¡K)
ĉ Control and look after the high-quality and the best cost of the LPG product finished (combustible gas, propane, butane, and Gasoline)
ĉ Establish, implement and maintain procedures for start-up and shut down operation of the LPG process
ƒâ Set up and measure the necessary statistical balance: Production, feeds (gas and gasoline), energy consumption¡K.
ĉ Reporting to top management the monthly, biannual and yearly periodic review of production and process activities
ƒâ Provide technical support for the project team especially in design, PFD, PID and data sheet of a new LPG process units(ASTM, GPA, TEMA, ASME, ISO, API, NFPA, NEMA ¡Kcodes consideration)

End of studies project: Title: ¡§Treatment of raw oil/water emulsion by the Electro-flotation process, Hydrodynamic and kinetic studies¡¨.

Summary: This project examines some factors that affect the oil removal and the kinetic of separation. A mathematic model achieves the optimization studies
