Presson Descon is an integrated engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) company; operating in the oil & gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Review of project technical documents (FEED) and the contractual requirements, checking and providing inputs for electrical design in accordance with client specifications and prepare project scope for cost estimation.
• Review of Basic Engineering & Detailed Engineering Package (in the light of ITB documents/Post bid correspondence), generated by Presson-Canada, JGC-Descon Limited and PDIL Engineering department
• Preparation of Calculations for Generation Sizing, Cable sizing and Lighting & MTO’s.
• Indenting of Electrical MTO as per finalized quantities and specifications.
• Quotes evaluations, and coordination of project activities with other design disciplines and with client personnel, coordination with vendors for vendor item Packages.

During my stay at PDIL, I have worked on the following projects.

Manzalai Field Surface Development Facilities (MOL Pakistan Oil & Gas Co. B.V)
Being an electrical design lead, I have been involved in technical documents preparation for proposal, engineering activities of project and preparation / reviewing of engineering deliverables of electrical for Basic and detail engineering.
The major activities involve:
• Sizing of Power Genset, Power Cables, and UPS.
• Preparation of Load List and SLD.
• Reviewing of Short Circuit & Motor Starting Study using ETAP software.
• Lighting, Earthing & Power Layouts and Calculation.
• Preparation & reviewing of MTO’s and quotes evaluations.
