Senior Inspector and Expeditor

Expediting
- Makes sure, during the initial phase of a new project, that the Expediting, Inspection and Testing Programme is updated, in order to properly set out the project and to assure that all contact with suppliers is fully coordinated.
- Co-ordinates and controls any external company services in areas of Expediting, Inspection, and Testing, providing them with the company methodology, instruments and catalogued reports.
- Obtains from suppliers the documentation relating to activities of Expediting, Inspection and Testing to be carried out and Intermediate and Final Certificates, Release Notes, etc.
- Ensures the definition of suppliers Quality control plan in agreement with the Project needs and Client's requirements.
- Gets periodic updates relating to supply progress and makes sure that technical specifications and quality standards are respected.
- Deals with suppliers' requests for changes in technical specifications of Purchase Orders, working together with Engineering and Purchasing.
- Attends to meeting with transport in order to minimize the time between the delivery of the goods and the pick up by the forwarding agent.
- Compares supply deadline times with order and contractually agreed times.
- Manages important procurement events connected with payment and progress (certificate) of supply, both with supplier and if necessary with the customer. This activity is to be carried out in strict collaboration with the Project Manager/Procurement Coordinator, in agreement with contractual stipulations.
- Manages application of penalties/liquidated damages in case of late completion of the PO contractual obligations on the part of the supplier.
- Collects all As Built documentation requested in PO as contractual obligation (Realise Notes, Inspection Certificates, Testing Certificates, etc)
- Manages non conformity and relevant corrective actions.
- Provides feedback information on Vendors' performance.

Inspection
Inspection Monitoring, Reporting on the Procurement, Manufacture, Prefabrication of Pressure Vessels , Heat Exchangers , Storage Tanks , Structural Steel Materials and Components, Welding , Certification and Procedures, testing on valves and pumps, air coolers , columns, skids, control panel, safety valves, safety systems.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Post Graduation:
Level 2 certificate NDT
RX-UT-LP (UNI EN 473/ASNT-TC-1A)
Inspector - pressure equipment
Inspector - transportable pressure equipment
Inspector – welding / welder qualifications

Special Courses:
-Qualified Mechanical Engineer “Ergon Project”
-Design course, ASME VIII Division 1 ANIMA – Milan
-Course of Non-Destructive Testing, UNI EN 473 and ASNT TC 1A:
Ultrasonic – Radiographic – Penetrating liquids
-Seminars on P.E.D. – CE
-Course on Standard P.E.D.
-Course on Standard ATEX– Bureau Veritas
-Course of Welding Specialists.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- General oversight of the fabrication/construction activities from a quality and good construction practice standpoint.
- Observe and report quality issues/concerns together with notification of contractor proposed actions to resolve concerns/issues.
- Monitor welding, preheat and fit-up practices and verify these activities are performed in accordance with Project requirements.
- Perform out visual inspection of welder production work.
- Monitor welding cut outs and repairs
- Monitor dimensional control activities in the field.
- Monitor NDT activities
- Monitor calibration and operating parameters of welding and NDT equipment
- Monitor the Contractors QC team inspection activities to verify QC is performed in accordance with Project requirements.
- Reside in the contractors facility to assist whenever required
- Coordinate and manage information between Contractor’s QC inspection team and the Project Team
