A professional position in welding inspector/engineer

More than 10 years of extensive experience in welding & NDT inspection in Oil, Gas, Petrochemical industries, offshore & onshore pipelines. Has worked with ISO Certified Companies in India, Holland, Norway, Austria, Turkey, Gulf of Mexico, Kuwait & Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Have experience in inspection of Automatic Ultrasonic inspection with multichannel system including TOFD.
During the tenure having experience in controlling fabrication shops, erection, above and underground piping systems, maintenance, shutdown/emergency repairs, pressure vessels, conducts NDT & film interpretation. Also having experience to work with different type of materials such as CS, LTCS, SS & Alloy. Familiar with different codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, AWS D1.1, ARAMCO etc.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Ħ Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

This is a sophisticated advanced multichannel scanning system. Several different types of probes are used at a time with a scanner. Scanner is run by a motor & motor is operated by a computer. Different probes scan separate zones of the weld which are shown on computer screen as different channels. Channels are distinguished as TOFD, pulse echo, mapping, coupling, go-nogo etc.
Tandem & transverse technique are also included with the system.

To check Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & Procedure Qualification Record (PQR). Witness of Welder Qualification Test (WQT) according to ASME IX. WPS stamping in ISO drawing, Inspections of welding material. To monitor the welder¡¦s performance and welding activities to ensure the work is being carried out in accordance with the approved welding procedure. Conducts and holds tool box meeting to the welders to minimize defects and enhance quality welding. Coordinate with client QA/QC Supervisor for some discrepancies and their solutions.Review Inspection Test Plan (ITP) prior proceeding to any inspection activities. To monitor repairs of welds in accordance with Company procedures and international codes of practice. Assist QA/QC Manager for some problems occur in piping and welding fabrication activities. Inspection of piping material CS, LTCS (Low Temperature Carbon Steel), SS & Alloy etc. To check piping fit-up. Inspection of Piping fabrication and erection according to client¡¦s specification.Check the all Parameters during welding. Responsible for spool releasing after inspection of visual & NDT. Monitoring of Positive Material Identification (PMI) and Ferrite Number (FN).Supervise the Pipe Fabrication, Welding and Erection. Execute & witness all NDT (PT,RT,MT,UT & TOFD), PWHT, Hardness Test, Hydro test, Pneumatic test. Strictly enforce company rules and regulation in quality safety policies.
