General Manager

Started professional career in 1991 as a sales engineer at Cukurova Import & Export Co which was the Turkish representative of Caterpillar Marine Engines.

In 1992, joined Aygaz, a Koç Group Company, as an operations engineer with the responsibility of coordinating the operations and budget plans of the 13 cylinder filling plants. After the assignment as the Quality Manager in 1997, worked in charge of implementing ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000 systems as well as preparing the risk analysis of the LPG filling plants. During this period, Aygaz received the prestigious National Quality Award Prize of Turkey.

Between 2002 and 2004, worked as the Marketing and Customer Services Manager in bulk LPG segment. Between the years 2004 and 2007, worked as Engineering and Quality Manager. The responsibilities of the position cover the Research and Development (R&D) activities associated with the renewable energy resources and alternative fuels, management of national and international Intellectual Property Rights, realising the investments, following up the national and international related legislations and supporting Turkish Standards Institute(TSI) while preparing LPG standards.

During the years 2006 and 2007, acted as the consultant of Clean Energy for Turkey Project by UNDP. Moreover, was the representative of the company in national NGO’s such as Turkish Quality Association, Turkish LPG Association, Sustainable Development Association, also represented Aygaz at different international platforms such as World LPG Association, European LPG Association, World Alliance. Besides was the vice president of International DME Association during the years 2006 and 2007.

In 2007, the position was offered by Koc Statoil which is a joint venture of Turkish Koc Group and Norwegian Oil Company Statoil. The company was once named as Koç Statoil, the shares of Statoil have been sold to Koç Group and it is named after Aygaz Dogal Gaz, since 2009. Acted as not only the Technical Operations Manager of the company but also the head of different diciplines such as Engineering, QA&QC, R&D, Logistics, Operation, Purchasing, HSE and After Sales Services.

Since 2011, he is head of energy business at Okan Holding which is one of the biggest conglomerate in Turkey.
