POSITION HELD :-

E&I Engineer/Field Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPOSURES (not limited to) :-

• Accountable to the Project Manager and responsibilities to manage and monitor the project administrative activities especially in piping and E&I discipline as per quality requirement and client satisfaction.
• To lead and being a focal point for material tracking of all the 29 Topsides for Hook-Up and modification works placed in Qatar’s water.
• Ensure construction activities are undertaken in accordance with project needs in general and compatible with project schedule and cost objectives in particular.
• Drive contractor execution of the work with due regard to safety, quality and schedule.
• Monitor and report on contractor performance in the areas of quality, safety, progress, schedule and productivity.
• Review construction sequence, work plans, pre-task planning, and method statements to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility.
• Provide Company representation in monitoring and coordinating site activities of the subcontractor at workshop and offshore workboat.
• Reports on the construction activities, areas of concern and mitigating actions.
• Review work and inspection results to ensure compliance with EPC Contract requirements.
• Interface and coordinate with Contract and QA/QC sections.
• Monitor and ensure the correction of non-conformance report items and other issues supporting QA/QC compliance.
• Report and record potential Change Order requests to assist in claims avoidance.
• Monitor site materials handling and warehousing procedures to facilitate construction progress.
• Provide assistance in Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Start-up activities as required facilitating these activities.

Engineering Degree : Bachelor’s Degree In Engineering
Secondary Education : SPM – 15Aggs, Malay College Kuala Kangsar.

SUMMARY :-
Have a total of 4 (four) years working experience as a Technical Personnel ( E&I Engineer & Field Engineer) in the Oil & Gas Industry for both Onshore and Offshore projects, Onshore Fabrication and Offshore Hook-Up, Modification and Commissioning, (Sime Sembawang later renamed to Sime Darby Engineering S/B).

Have a wide exposures, experiences and knowledges to different types of electrical and field instrumentation and packages control system with various types of application. Have a good knowledges, exposures and experiences in piping fabrication, pre-commissioning and commissioning for both new topside and modification of existing topside.

Have a wide experience in offshore modifications works and also plant modifications works which include the requirements of Permit To Work System (PTW) on live plant.

Familiar with various American Standards, British Standards and others International Standards such as API’s, ISO’s, ASTM’s, ANSI’s and etc, wherein instrumentations are involved.

Have the very right attitude, harmonized working approached with all parties, having capabilities to supervise and co-ordinate teams and subcontractors either in Construction, Fabrication, Quality Assurance, Pre-Commissioning, Hook-Up and Commissioning for Onshore or Offshore Oil & Gas facilities.
