• First you should wait the working permit and you must use the physical proper equipment before you start your work.
• You should coordinate first to your foreman and supervisor before start working.
• Before working you must check the status or the actual weight of the equipment facilities to be installed or lifted.
• Check the exact location and the destination of the load so that you will know where will you position the crane.
• Confirm the location of the crane safe working radius, lifting weight, set crane and check the level on the ground generally evaluate crane set up.
• Check and maintain clearance from any obstruction and confirm the stability of the crane, remove any object that might obstruct or touch when lifting operation start.
• Check the lug or the part of the equipment to be attached when lifting, and prepare the necessary lifting materials which are (sling belts or sling wires, shackles, taglines, and chain block) if necessary to be used. Be sure that they are tested and modified.
• The banksman is the designated rigger which is required to be used a rigging vest and he must maintained a good and clear communication with the operator and riggers and should used the proper and standard when giving signal to the operator abut the movement
• Don’t forget to put barricades on your working place where ever the crane reaches and don’t let the people go inside the lifting area except the riggers . Be sure to use safety harness when working at heights.
• After lifting operation done be sure that it is okay on its position after that take all the materials that has been used in lifting operation and prepare for the next lifting operation.
