Professional Experience
Installing, repair and maintain high tension overhead transmission systems, related feeder lines, towers and poles. Perform such maintenance activities when lines are energized as well as cold.
Operate with low voltage (380V, 220V, 110V) , high voltage (110KV, 35KV, 20KV, 10KV, 6KV).
Installing and maintain underground cables and feeders and related auxiliary equipment.
Installing and maintain air raid sirens, fire alarm boxes, telephone systems, traffic signals, block and warning signals and lighting circuits; maintain alarm bells and telegraphic
equipment in fire stations; troubleshoot, locate and repair circuits in communications
systems.
Knowledge of international codes and standards
Opening switches and attach grounding devices in order to remove electrical hazards from
disturbed or fallen lines to facilitate repairs.
Climbing poles using truck-mounted buckets to access equipment.
Place insulating fireproofing materials over conductors and joints.
Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components.
Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and
the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and
fixtures.
Installing, maintain and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems, including conduits, cables, wires, and related equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
Identifying defective sectionalizing devices, circuit breakers, fuses, voltage regulators,
transformers, switches, relays, or wiring, using wiring diagrams and electrical-testing
instruments.
Driving vehicles equipped with tools and materials to job sites.
Coordinate work assignment preparation and completion with other workers.
Inspecting and testing power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and identify problems,
using reading and testing instruments.
Stringing wiring conductors and cables between poles, towers, trenches, pylons, and buildings, setting lines in place and using winches to adjust tension.
