Professional Experience
* January 1998 up to November 2005:
Workshop Supervisor / Off Shore Supervisor: Marine Maintenance Division, Port Operation Department , Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC) Qatar Petroleum (Q.P. ) , Doha - state of Qatar.
* Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervises and plan the maintenance of the corporation launches.
-Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, including breakdowns and executes repairs as far as possible efficiently to minimize downtime on the launches.
-Prepares and executes Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules for the launches.
-Maintenance work on the diving barge with auxiliary, ancillary machinery and hydraulic twenty seven tone crane
-Ensure that adequate spare parts (mechanical and electrical) and consumables are stored, ordered and maintained.
-Supervises all maintenance and PPMs schedules for all the environmental and oil pollution equipment.
-Fully conversant with all workshop machinery (lathes, mills, drill, welding, compressors, grinding and any other related equipment.) and able to maintain them in a good working order.
-Responsible for all the safety equipment both on the launches and in the workshops, ensuring that it is in good condition and constantly updated.
-Keeping a comprehensive record of all maintenance events for future references, including daily, weekly and monthly reports.
-Supervises the compilation of work scopes for the dry docking of launches, barges and single buoy mooing (SBM).
-Supervises the compilation of contract documents that are related to the relevant duties that works when undertaken by the contractor are adhered.
-SBM routine maintenance and supervision.
-SBM Sub Sea hoses replacement if required.
-Conventional buoy mooring (CBM) and tile gauge maintenance.
-Mooring hooks at berth maintenance for mesaieed industrial city (MIC).
-Generates new ideas and working practice that will benefit subordinates and ultimately the corporation.
-Acting as Head of Marine Maintenance Department, in the absence of the head of department.
