i) Since Jan-08 to present date, working in the Gulf Region as a senior Instrumentation Engineer in projects for field Engineering & site Construction, erection, testing and commissioning for an up-coming EPC petrochemical plants.

ii) Since June 1985 to end 2007 worked with M/s Oil & Natural Gas Corp Ltd (ONGC) as Project Manager/coordinator–I&C for various projects in oil and gas Engineering/construction/commissioning. Also worked as Lead Design Instrumentation and control system engineering also worked as an In-charge Instrument maintenance for oil and Gas plant.

iii) Commenced my career with M/s Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Refinery Division, as a Oil Refinery as an Instrument Maintenance Engineer w.e.f Jun 1980 and continued till April 1985

a) Design & Engineering-Instrument
i)Making product specifications, Basic engineering data & designing and modifying/upgrading existing designs
ii) Approvals for modification/changes/waivers & releasing for implementations.
iii) Implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) processes and tools
iv) Aptly managed Design Engineering activities involving Understanding/Interpretation of engineering documentation such as P&ID’s, PFD’s and standard operating procedures, safety and interlock/logics, Process Safety System, Hazop analysis.
v) Preparation/Review of MTO, Instrument index, process logic diagram, cable schedule, JB Schedule, Instrumentation loop wiring, circuit diagram, ESD system.
vi) Designing/reviewing of sub-vendor drawings including different types of control system of rotating equipment, gas based turbine control system, Multi stage Gas compressors, Boiler control system other package control system, Fire & Gas detection system, process safety and Custody transfer metering system.

(b) Maintenance & operations-Instrumentation & Control
i) Managing overall plant maintenance operations including instrumentation and control system maintenance. Performing the functions of predictive / breakdown / preventive maintenance as well as Annual shutdown maintenance of plants and equipment for reducing downtime to minimum.
ii) Spare parts management, updating with stocks and their procurement. Devising section budgets, and effecting cost cutting measures.
iii) Trouble shooting and repair of Instrumentation & Control system, Calibration testing including SAT, FAT.
