Key skills Skilled Mechanical Technician with some Supervisory experience working to very strict safety standards on a large variation of machinery within a modern state-of-the-art Plant. A logical approach to problem solving, able to plan, schedule and organise workloads. Use of SAP to enter work history, order parts and create work notifications. Carry out risk assessments and raise permits for work.
Maintenance of various pieces of plant equipment including:
Ø Solar Turbines- Carrying out water washes, annual mechanical servicing, engine change outs and breakdown repairs
Ø Process and Utility Pumps- Carrying out mechanical seal changes, bearing change outs and first line maintenance (Weir, Sulzer and Sundyne equipment among many)
Ø Valves- Fitting of valves into pipelines, carrying out overhauls of internals.
Ø HVAC- Checking operation of dampers, change outs of fans, replacement of drive belts.
Ø Diesel Engines- Carrying out annual servicing.
Ø Coolers- Splitting of plate coolers for seal changes and cleaning.
Ø BA equipment- Servicing of BA equipment, filling BA bottles and air purity testing.
Ø Installation of pipe work- Fitting with the use of Torquing/Tensioning techniques. Fitting of small bore pipe work.
Ø Shaft Alignments- Use of Rotalign.
Ø Condition Monitoring- Taking vibration readings with the use of data collector.
Ø Use of workshop machinery- Drills, grinders, lathes etc.
