My role with ODS made me fully responsible for approx 5million per annum of steel/cladding contracts, this does not represent the value of the main contracts e.g.
NUI Sports Hall: steel contract = 2million: main contract = 21million.
Thomond Park, (Stadium): secondary steel contract = 2million: main contract = 40million.
I had full budget control and awareness of the projects under my guidance; I forwarded this information in a report once a week to the contracts director and managing director.
Also under my control was the management of direct employees and sub-contractors for each live site. Approx 10 live sites at any one time.
Responsible for interaction with client, architect and engineer.
Responsibility for Health and Safety, method statements, safety statements, contract program, sequence of build, plant hire (crane, m.e.w.p) and quality control i.e. to best construction practice and engineers specification
