Graduation Project “Elevator Emergency System" Its idea is to drive the elevator car door to the nearest floor in case of utility cut off to avoid persons' confinement.
It operates the elevator during power failure and moves it to the nearest floor then the elevator doors are opened to evacuate the elevator safely. The elevator doors are then kept locked emergently until the main power supply is back and can operate the elevator.
Laboratory team work cooperated to build up the elevator drive through two main sections:
A chip of microcontroller AVR (ATmega8) is used to perform Space Vector Modulation technique on Mitsubishi Intelligent power Module Inverter (PM75CSA120) to produce three sinusoidal phase voltages, and V/F control technique is also performed on the elevator motor.
Another chip of microcontroller AVR (ATmega8) is used to control the batteries charger circuit, which is buck converter with controlled output current using Hall effect current transducer.
