Project Engineer_Mwagih

I¡¦ve the ability to work as Support Construction Engineer, Office/Control Engineer, Monitoring Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, and Material Control Engineer.

Responsible for providing Construction related deliverables needed for compiling Proposals, and construction activities in ongoing project site. Assist in recruitment effort of construction personnel, and development of construction related documents.
Providing support for preparation of construction inputs during bidding and/or execution of Project which includes
1. Participation in site visits during proposal stage.
2. Full understanding of scope of work and contract conditions.
3. Estimation of Temporary facilities & costs
4. Carry out all estimating for Steel/Piping/Civil Activates
5. Perform detailed quantity take-off's for Steel/Piping/Civil Activates
6. Preparation of Bid documents for sub-contracting construction works
7. Review of sub-contract bids, discussions thereof with intending bidders, negotiations with bidders & finalizing sub-contracts¡¦ costs.
8. Review of proposed mobilization of Construction equipment & manpower by sub contractors.
9. Review of Project schedules for proposals.
10. Review of construction BOQs of all disciplines & interface with Discipline Design engineers for the same
11. Assistance in finalization of sub-contracts for projects awarded to company.
12. Carrying out Construct ability study during proposal stage & for ongoing projects (including maintainability study) & discussions with Project managers/ Owner representatives
13. Development of Procedures, Work instructions, method statements for projects
14. Review of resume of potential candidates & their interviews for employment in the company
15. Development of Construction specifications/ standards for implementation
16. Coordinate with Project site to support construction Management team
17. Support to Project Managers on construction related issues as & when needed

I¡¦ve graduated as a Civil Engineer (5 academic years). An experience in construction field of Mechanical, Piping and Steel works has been gained by working in various construction projects like Electro-Mechanical projects (Cement & Power Plant) and Piping project (Cooling Pipeline).
Duties since graduation includes but not limited project control, detailed engineering, take-off, estimation, tendering, material procurement, site measurement, checking safety requirements, preparing submittals and progress payment, preparing workshop drawings, AS-built and Close out Reports.
