Production and planning manager

Plan and control production activity in terms of output quantity, cost & time availability and labour requirements.
Daily, weekly, monthly and annual production targets – Plan and Control
Key Performance Indicators: Track Productivity Improvements, Scrap reduction, Manpower & Expense cost reduction, Quality & Yield improvement.
Control production efficiencies with respect to specified material consumption and conversion costs
Implementation Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Lean Manufacturing Practices
Control use of production plant facilities through planning of maintenance, the setting of operating hours and supply of relevant materials
Coordinate and direct quality control procedures, and the implementation of safety requirements, and make sure that statutory requirements are met
Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
Support implementation of actions driven by Quality Assurance and EHS functions in the Production section
Production records and reports: Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
Recommend and implement initiatives such as new techniques and products, purchases of new machinery and changes in staff levels
Review plans and support staff to develop new products & processes.
Assist Problem solving and Improvement initiatives in the Plant.
Implementation of continual improvement initiatives viz. TQM, and ISO Quality systems

B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
