Operation Engineer/Supervisor with 30 years experience in Oil & Gas Services

Safe commissioning and Operation of Oil & Gas Process and Utility Units. To train Operators & Engineers on Safe Operation, Trouble shooting, Start up and Shutdown procedures of units.

• Presently working as Operation Shift Supervisor of Ras-Laffan Refinery (a Condensate Refinery). Supervising the pre-commissioning activities coordinating with EPC Engineers. Preparing for commissioning of the units. Training the operators and engineers on plant operations and safety.
• Worked as OJT Instructor a newly built Refinery in Vietnam;
• Worked as Process Chief in the same refinery and commissioned Diesel Hydrotreater (DHDT) Unit, Sour Water Stripper (SWS), Amin Regeneration Unit (ARU), Caustic Neutralization Unit (CNU) and Sulfur Recovery Unit in February ‘09
• Worked in Oman Refinery as Operation Engineer (Technical Support) to the General Manager (Operations & Maintenance). Preparation for International Certification (like ISO, BSC), Supporting Operation group in troubleshooting of plant operation, Incidence analysis, Preparation of reports for Manager & GM, Training of Operators, Preparation of Procedures and Manuals were my main responsibilities.
• Lead the Commissioning group for startup, commissioning, operation and stabilization of the Crude & Vacuum Distillation Unit, Hydro cracker unit. Involved in review of P&IDs, PFDs for new projects like CDU, VDU, HCU, Naphtha Hydrotreater, Catalytic Reformer, Isom Units. Worked in condensate handling units like Isomeration units, Net Gas Hydrocarbon Recovery Unit (NGHRU) and Gas tail Unit.
• Took the responsibilities of Plant Manager of CDU/VDU and HCU/H2U, and Refinery Shift Superintendent (RSS). Developed worksheets of Plant data for monitoring of the plant conditions, Training and Operating Manuals for subordinates.
• At beginning of the career worked as Field and Panel operator in CDU and DCU plants, then promoted to position of Operation Engineer in the same refinery. Worked as a member of Commissioning Task Force of Xylene Plant of a Petrochemical division of a Refinery.
• Commissioned the Xylene plant of the Petrochemical Section of a Refinery and Petrochemical Complex; Worked as Shift in Charge of the plant for 6 years
• Have the experience of working in DCS panel of Yokogawa centum XL and Honeywell.

Completed 3 years Engineering Diploma course in Chemical Engineering in 1978. Secured 1st Class in all the three parts of the course.
Completed 2 years Pre-Degree Science course in 1974, secured 2nd division.
Passed Matriculation in 1st Division with distinction in 1972

Have certificates of ISRS Auditor course.
Certificate of attending Hydrocracking Technology course in Chevron, Richmond, USA.
Certificate of attending course on Refinery Process Technology in Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun
