JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND FAMILIARITIES
> Welding process control
> Calibration of welding equipment and inspection instruments.
> Reviewing and maintaining of internal and external calibration reports.
> Developing of WPS from a provided pWPS, in co-ordination with mill crew.
> Conducting of PQT according to the requirements of codes and third party representatives.
> Conduct and witnessing of WQT.
> Monitoring of repair welds and ensuring the conformity with approved procedures.
> Visual, dimensional and verification inspection of pipes on various inspection points like
primary mill forming, end preparation, weld inspection, hydrostatic testing, final inspection
etc.
> Co-ordination with NDT and review of reports, through that good knowledge on automatic
Online & Offline multi channel UT (I+I+X+HAZ-SFT) scanning systems, Manual UT
systems like USM32, USM35, STRESSTEL Etc, X-Ray and RTFI.
> Receiving inspection of raw materials, welding consumables and validating of MTC and other
relevant documents.
> Co-ordination with third-party and client inspectors, and offering of finished product for
release check.
> Controlling of material traceability by implementing color coding, bar coding etc.
> Co-ordination and Witnessing of mechanical testing and verifying test results, through that
sound knowledge on various lab testing equipments like Tensile, Hardness (Vickers),charpy,
Spectrometer, DWTT etc.
> Make reports and documents according to company procedures and circumstances.
> Handling of NCR’s and ensuring follow-up as per corrective and preventive actions.
> Observation, identifying and reporting of quality related matters to higher authorities.
> FAMILIARITY WITH CODES: API 5L, API 1104, SAMMS-035, ASME IX, V etc.
