Job Profile:
Working as a Panel / Field Operator in& the Iso Propyl Alcohol unit, Ammonium Nitrate (an Explosive), Conc. Nitric Acid (since April 1997 to till date)
In the Iso Propyl Alcohol where the raw material is REFINERY GRADE PROPYLENE. The plant is based on Veba process of Germany & built by Power Gas corp. The Isopropanol is produced by direct hydration of propylene in presence of phosphoric acid as catalyst.
Involved in the Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities of the plant.

Duties in field:
In the field, monitor on shift in the assigned operating area, the operation of processing plant and all equipments and ongoing maintenance work. It include regular inspection of operations (field tour), adjustment of variety of valves and switches, maintaining all equipments in synchronization and taking and analyzing log reading from variety of gauges and indicators. Report any abnormalities noted to supervisor and / or to the operation in control room duty. Preparation of equipments for handing over to maintenance. Start up and shut down of unit. Guides new operating staff.
Duties on Panel (DELTA-V by Emerson)
In the control room, operates control panel (DCS) comprising highly sophisticated and computerized equipments on shift in assigned operating area. It includes operation and control of instrumentation on control panel governing process qualities and quantities. Constantly visualize, diagnose and operates micro processing electronic controlling facilities to ensure safe and proper functioning and that products meet the stipulated specifications and quantities. Taking necessary corrective actions in case any abnormality in process. Provide functional direction to the field operator to adjust plant operations.

Educational & Technical Qualifications:

• DIPLOMA IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
• Computer Proficiency: MS OFFICE
Trainings Attended:

• Fire and Safety training.
• First Aid Training.
• Special training on pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Training on special safety procedures during commissioning.
