November 2005 – December 2007: Chemist. Manpower/Baker Petrolite Italiana in SARAS S.p.A. Refinery, Sarroch, Sardinia - Italy.
Duties in the Chemical Laboratory:
Routine chemical analysis of TAR, GO samples for Visbreaker unit monitoring (WBPI, PV )*
Routine chemical analysis of H2O Desalter, Feed in-out Desalter for Crude unit monitoring (pH, Salts content, Metals spectrophotometry)**
Routine chemical analysis HVGO from Vacuum 2 unit and Fresh Feedstock from IGCC unit (WBPI,PV)
Chemical Analysis of Petrochemical samples: FOPI, Quench oil, etc.
Data Analysis and reports of Visbreaker and Crude unit
Operated lab instruments (many of the ones outlines in the "instrument skills" section below)
Duties in the Refinery units:
Visbreaker: chemicals dosages, pump maintenance service
Crude unit: corrosion monitoring, chemicals dosages, pump maintenance service
