Job Description:
Piping construction & mechanical installation Engineer
** Interpret drawings (P & ID's, GA's, Isometrics…etc.)
** Review specifications concerning piping, valves, fittings & mechanical works
** Issue the piping MTO according to the approved drawings & specs
** Experience in technical evaluations of Piping Vendor quotations.
** Technical documents control & review (basic design, detailed engineering, MTO)
** Supervise the piping & mechanical construction activities, making sure that the works are being achieved by the contractors according to the specifications, codes & standards and preparing the daily, weekly & monthly report
** Familiar working according to API, ASME, ASTM, … as per application & the approved specifications
** Familiar with welding activities (WPS, PQR)…etc.
** Capable of producing specifications for Piping materials, manual valves and Special Piping items.
** Knowledge of Industry Piping Design codes, Pipe Fitting codes, flange codes and Valve codes.
** Capable of giving technical recommendations of piping
Material, manual valve and special piping item suppliers.
** Conduct site meetings
** Coordinate projects
** Have ability to work independently
Finally, I have Strong background and experience in:
• Piping and process equipment drawings, standards and codes
• Piping and equipment erection
• Fundamentals of non- destructive testing
• Fundamentals of welding and fabrication technologies and codes. With very good background of piping, pipeline design-Follow up thermal insulation activity.
*Review Welding &Painting procedure, qualify welders Painter according to the applied code, check material certificates, Follow up the fabrication &welding of piping system, chick fit up of welding pipes and fitting according to material specs. & Codes, dimension check and visual inspection after complete welding, keep the quality Parameters of (WPS) applicable (preheat welding, electrode type, position of welding….etc).
