RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

SUPPLIERS

* Updating , renewing suppliers' chain.
* Searching for suppliers globally.
* Negotiating & comparing prices , delivery terms , payment terms etc…
* Reviewing technical features in accordance with the technical department.
* Continuously focusing on decreasing the cost of imported components & raw materials aiming at decreasing the manufacturing cost, consequently-indirectly- increasing the profitability of the company.

LOCAL PURCHASING

* Regularly updating suppliers chain ,reviewing quotes, comparing costs of local purchased components & raw materials to imported ones
* Monitoring & motivating local purchasing team


SHIPPING & CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

* Dealing with a wide range of freight forwarders, shipping lines & customs brokers including comparing rates & evaluating the standards of service.
* Checking & reviewing transport documents of imported shipments including banking & requested governmental approvals.
* Follow up all customs clearance procedures including calculation of duties & taxes in accordance with the Egyptian customs tariff, Gatt rules & regulations of some protocols


BANKING

Handling all banking procedures related to importation, including letters of credit, financing, purchasing of foreign currency, transfers , & follow up of setelments of suppliers statements & due balances

GENERAL

* Cost anaylsis for each individual imported shipment
* Supplier anaylsis as well as yearly anaylsis of the purchasing materials
* Annual purchasing plans for both local & foreign suppliers
* Monthly financial plans
* Interviewing & training new comers to the purchasing dept. ( both sections )
* Monitoring & keeping confidential issues related to purchasing & import affairs
* Coordinate tasks with other departments ( Planning – financial – quality control – stock & stores dept )
* Targetting exclusivity with brand names & main suppliers
