DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be familiar with all relevant operating procedures and safety.
• Safely prepare the plant for maintenance.
• Permit accreditation and coordinating in shutdown activities (T&I), the safe start-up and shut-down of units.
• Submit and initiate works orders.
• Assist with instrumentation checks.
• Permit accreditation
• Health & Safety Rep.
• Be part of the Emergency Response Team.
• Expert knowledge of plant layout.
• On the job training of others.
• Collect samples and do the required tests (Penetration Test, pH)
• Collect samples for laboratory testing.
• Do effective and comprehensive turnover/handover.
• The handling of waste product according to set procedures and in an environmentally friendly manner.
• Attend to good housekeeping.
• Prompt response to requests from the console operator.
