WORK EXPERIENCE
June 2005 – June 2006 (full-time): AB Pharma (www.abpharma.com.eg), Egypt.
Hygiene specialist company with over 10% market share at that time in its sector in Egypt; importing and supplying infection-control products and providing associated services to hospitals and dental clinics.

Procurement Coordinator - Procurement Department

 Managed incoming and outgoing communications, negotiations and agreements with between 15 - 20 international first tier suppliers, and with ones of different business relationship levels. This was based on pre-cross functional collaboration with the Marketing, Sales, and Accounting departments which enabled to confidently place order and communicate clearly with suppliers, regarding multiple variations of product lines, in a precise manner.

 In Charge of managing Ministry of Health and pharmaceutical approvals, vital for the importation of trial and bulk orders. Established a trusted relationship with the issuing authorities, enabling any problems or issues to be smoothed quickly and professionally.

 Kept track of payments, shipments, custom clearance, freight movement and inspected packages upon delivery to the warehouse - reported on outcome.


 Attended a one-week course outlining the company's product range, its direction for product upgrading, infection control guidelines and market needs. This information along with a supplier-evaluation appraisal process, facilitated decision-making when recommending new international suppliers for the company.

 Participated in the development and application of procurement-IT in the workplace to enhance the smooth running of operations.

• At the request of the customer advisory team; undertook an intensive one day program, where the necessity to learn very quickly was optimum.

• Preparation of response letters to customers’ complaints involved the use of complicated software and precision was paramount, with customer satisfaction being at the forefront of the business.
