National Sugar Company: The second biggest Sugar Refinery in the Middle East including Cargill, an international provider of food, agricultural and risk management products and services, The Wellington Group, Crystalsev and SugarInvest as shareholders. Based in Syria and aiming to produce around 3,500 tons/day.
Senior Quality Controller: from December 2006 till now.
Job description: Perform the necessary laboratory tests for raw sugar, sugar in process and refined sugar with optimum time and accuracy. Fill and summarize daily reports.Identify hazards in order to evaluate / interpret results / recommend method of control / report to management.
Achievements: Prepared the laboratory tests list and the instruments list after collecting information from different sugar refineries in Brazil and Turkey.Worked with contractors during (pre) commissioning and start-up.
Contacted suppliers to purchase chemicals and laboratory equipment and furniture.Helped in designing the lab layout including dimensions and distribution of the equipments on benches, electrical and water supply etc.
Al-Wadi Al Akhdar: part of Obegi Group, one of the leading distribution companies of consumer Goods in Lebanon. Certified ISO 9001: 2000, in the factory that produces legumes, vegetables, Middle Eastern recipes, jams, tahina and halawa. Quality controller: from April 1998 till November 2006.
Job description: Apply the quality plan that specifies all requirements for inspection and testing, including the tests to be used and acceptable tolerances. Approve the delivery of semi-finished products to the national and international markets.Perform inspection and testing of raw materials, process control and finished products.Perform inspection on hygiene, GMP and labeling
Analyze microbiological tests of food samples.Identify hazards in order to evaluate / interpret results / recommend method of control / report to management.I participated in the HACCP team (HACCP: Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) which worked to implement the HACCP system in the factory and in the CKC (Cost Killing Committee) which aimed to reduce waste products.
