Process Engineering and Engineering Management

To find job opportunity suitable with my 20 years process engineering and engineering management experience in Oil and Gas Industry i.e. both in design and operation

Afandi Abd. Ghani has experiences in both the design and operation of gas processing plant. He had been involved in the basic design of Gas Processing Plant where he was assigned as a process engineer to work with the consultant's process design team.
He was also involved in the development of the gas plant ITB, PMC for the detailed engineering design and participated in the HAZOP review of the plant at Contractor office (Seoul, South Korea).
With regards to operation experience, he worked as an operation supervisor for Gas Plant no.1 for about two years and participated in the pre-commissioning and commissioning of another 2 gas facilities in early 90s

His involvement in biggest gas Plant project in Malaysia started with the conceptual and basic design activities in which he was attached at the Sub-consultant office (Tulsa, USA), evaluation of the engineering packages. Subsequently he performed as PMC for basic design verification and detailed design of the project at Contractor office . He also participated in the HAZOP review of the project. HAZOP Chairman for MLNG Desalination Project plus a few others
He was then assigned as the Engineering Manager to lead engineering team for the basic design of Ethane Extraction Improvement Project, Engineering Manager for the EPCM of the Ethane Extraction Improvement Project. The team consist of 25 engineers for the basic and detail design, and provided support for procurement, construction and commissioning activities . He worked closely with Process Licensor to select the latest technology to improve ethane recovery where the de-bottlenecking work was successfully commissioned and achieved the target recovery.

He was also assigned as a lead process engineer for the oil treatment project in Sudan for the conceptual, basic and detail design of the facilities. Previously, he was the lead process engineer for the expansion of Central Processing Faility in , Sudan to add 70000 BOPD train. He led the team for the commissioning of the CPF, FPF and 100 KM of oil pipeline which was successfully commissioned ahead of schedule.

Currently he is the Principal Process Engineer for the R&T Company in Kuala Lumpur where his job scope cover mostly on the value creation programs and providing technical support to operating units on the equipment / system performance improvement / upgrading.

Obtained degree in Chemical Engineering from New Mexico Stae Universuty in USA

Registered Engineer with Malaysia Board of Engineer

Has good exposure with international Oil & Gas Companies, International Vendors and good communication skills and have attended many training/course programs in Oil and Gas field which has suffiently develop himself into a good practicing engineer and manager.
