Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Duties and responsibilities: Engineering project development and support for Turnaround (overhaul), Shutdown / Special Projects and Routine production operations and maintenance. Total project development and project execution control per CHEVRON CPDEP process (all phases): problem defining / solution alternative generation / solution selection and detailed engineering / procurement, construction & commissioning / look-back.
Developing full scale engineering, project management and reporting documentation for equipment repair / modification / new installation / demolition & conversion to international codes and industry standards: ASME(ANSI) / API / ASTM / AWS for following equipment: Piping & Pipelines / Columns & towers / Heat exchangers / Boilers / Separators & filters / Burners & reactors / Stacks & flares / Tanks & sumps / Utilities. Both Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
Generating project funding documentation, presentation for approval of funding at Decision Review Board. Overall resource and expenditure control.
Multidiscipline coordination. Multifunctional team leadership. Liaison capabilities for both in-house and outer relations and businesses.
Facilitation of information exchange and instruction sharing activities in order to appoint duties and responsibilities, set milestones and goals, identify action items, maintain feedback, keep track of progress and develop further project development strategy.
Reviewing, modifying, updating and composing of recommended work practices, procedures, work processes, guidelines.
Preparation for, review and assessment of contracting plans. Initiation of Tender (bid) and contractor assessment activities.
