I am working as a Senior Accountant in Pakistan Petroleum Limited (formally a subsidiary of Burmah Castrol Plc. UK) a leading Oil and Gas E&P Company in Pakistan. During my affiliation with PPL, my responsiblities include:

• Review of Financial Statements
• Compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Supervising preparation of Annual Income Tax Return
• Correspondence with taxation authorities relating tax matters Liaison with tax consultants in relation to various tax cases pending in various courts.
• Coordinating annual audit
• Supervising issuance of sales invoices to customers
• Liaison with customers for timely settlement of invoices.
• Supervising timely payments of government levies
• Supervise preparation of Gas Price calculation and submission of the same for approval of the Government
• Preparation of Board notes
• Evaluation of investment opportunities
• Review of Financial Statements of Pension, Gratuity and Provident Funds
• Coordinate audit of financial statements of retirement benefit funds.
• Disbursment and recovery of Company loans to employees
• Arrange payment of final settlement dues to retiring employees.

Special Assignments:
• Evaluation of feasibility report of Iron Ore Beneficiation Project .
• Involvement with the consultants in preparation of Accounting and Internal Control Manual
• On adoption of IFRS, restructuring of Financial Statements of the Company in line with the requirements of the IFRS.
• Have been involved in implementation of Finance Module and HR Modules of SAP a business ERP system.

2) ASIA PETROLEUM LIMITED (From April 2000 to April 2001)
I have been affiliated with Asia Petroleum Limited, a multinational oil transportation company. During my association with Asia Petroleum Limited, I was responsible for the following areas:
• Preparation of Management Accounts of the Company.
• Dealing with banks and investment of surplus funds.
• Coordinating Annual Audit
• Dealing with the tax maters
