Career Objective
To offer my experience and skills to a company that needs me to perform jobs, lead and train crews, and form part of a strong team.
Professional Experience
August 2008.
I started off as a time-keeper / office clerk with a company that built steel tanks and vessels, and welded, joined and laid pipelines offshore using a pipelaying barge. I loved the environment and wanted to get deeper into it.
I got in as a trainee driller and gained all the basic experience first hand working on the rig floor, derrick, driller brake, and at the yard when training on pumps, BOP’s crowns, and generally getting rigs ready for shipping out to drill a well.
I switched to become a slickline operator being attracted to the benefits the company was offering. Learned to break down and rebuild hundreds of tools and was able to think downhole very well. Became very familiar with different types of completions and wellheads. Learned the production systems very well having done years of non-rig wireline as well as rig work wireline.
Went on to do sales when my dad became the general manager of an oilfield equipment sales company and asked me to join the company. I learned a lot about valves, fittings, compressors, orifice measurement devices, level and flow control instrumentation, pipeline and valve actuators and numerous other products while working for this company. I subsequently left the job when my dad passed away three years later.
I then started to work as a TCP engineer. My already strong knowledge and skills ability helped me to do well with the TCP firing heads and DST tools and packers, mastering the knowledge and ability of them I moved up quickly to become the manager of the TCP-DST dept.
I took up a job offer to work as a company man-rig supervisor supervising a snubbing unit, a jack-up workover rig and lift-boat rigless operations such as wireline, coil tubing and cement squeeze jobs. The job required that I work day and night with no night supervisor to relieve me. I did it for a year before giving it up as it was too much for one person, not getting much sleep for days at times.
I returned to be a TCP supervisor with the company I had left and remained for another six years doing this. I worked in Nigeria as a Slickline Service Leader specifically coordinating slickline activities for Total in Nigeria.
