Professional Experience
Advise Line Managers on all staff-related matters and on new HR policies/amendments to existing policies, to ensure a uniform approach is maintained throughout all locations in the interpretation and application of HR policy on such matters as manpower control/planning, pay and benefits, absenteeism, training/development, Performance Matters, disciplinary matters and grievance handling.
Arrange and conduct timely and cost-effective recruitment campaigns to meet the established staffing levels at all locations, ensuring a consistent standard of high caliber staff. This involves the effective use of media and advertising copy to attract the desired response, and the appropriate assessment techniques such as psychometric assessments and interviews.
Recommend and assist HRM Business Support & HR Remuneration & Planning in formulating new policies/revising existing HR policies and procedures to ensure such policies and procedures are in line with employment laws and best practice.
Manage the employee compensation and benefits program; analyze, evaluate and administer the program ensuring that the compensation and benefits are the most cost effective and competitively benchmarked against the marketplace to maximize employee effectiveness. Assist HR Remuneration & Planning in conducting annual pay and benefits surveys in order to ensure that local salaries and benefits are competitively pitched to attract high caliber staff and motivate existing staff.
Support and implement the Performance Matters process, particularly in regard to post-training implementation, i.e. assisting the line managers in agreeing competencies, setting objectives and drawing up development plans for individuals. Ensure that the effectiveness of Performance Matters is monitored and reported to HR Management and Line Management.
