Responsibilities
- Promoting positive health, safety and environment culture in the organization
- Creation and distribution of HSE awareness propaganda like of HSE bulletins, flashes communicated through various media like company group email, notice boards and TBTs
- Promoting and participating in HSE consultation through safety briefings, safety talks, HSE committees
- Acquire and submit Health, Safety and Environmental management statistics for analysis by QHSE department
- Safety inspections and safety tours
- Training of line supervisors on giving of TBTs before starting shifts
- Development of inspection checklists for various machinery in coordination with relevant technically competent persons like electricians, mechanics
- Co-developing and implementation of ISO19001, ISO14000, OHSAS 18001 and IMS manual on company operations and projects
- Compliance with Agility Logistics,ADCO(Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations) and CPECC(China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Company) health and safety specifications as per their HSEMS
- Hazard identification and risk assessment and implementation of controls based on prioritization of risk
- Near miss (incident) and accident investigation and report writing
- Safety induction of new staff or staff assigned to new locations
- Applying for oilfield permit to work (PTW) certificates and ensuring that precautions are complied with
- Preparing emergency response procedures and performing emergency drills
- Installation of safety signs and barricades limiting or preventing entry of particular personnel at hazardous locations on site
- HSE related training of company employees
- Administration of basic first aid and treatment to injured or sick employees
- Attending HSE meetings, training seminars and workshops
- Preparing of action plans for closure of Non-compliance reports (NCR) from clients or auditors
