MEP AutoCAD Design Coordinator

To be able to exploit my analytical abilty for a design process. To be able to see flaws or interferences and identify corrective measures.

Design and drafting using CAD software specifically AutoDesk’s AutoCAD for the last seventeen years. The experience includes conceptual design of steel structures including plant piping design concept for mechanical plant installation. Also does design and drafting of civil related works, steel structural as well as mechanical design concepts. Have done commercial and institutional buildings & air-conditioning/HVAC such as hospital/clinic facilities, residential townhouses or reinhaus apartments. The work also includes three-dimensional (3D) and perspectives modeling in AutoCAD and often export them to other Desktop Publishing software for report and presentation purposes. Also does CAD Consultancy to other firms where CAD users are taught in advance technique in 3D Modeling. I also am a part-time CAD instructor in schools and other government and non-government institution where my skills are highly needed for a specific project or timeframe. My students include Professional Architects, Engineers and collegiate students. I also did tutorial job per request by group/firm or an individual such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and currently developing a course outline for Access. I had such experience with international projects as well as local but export quality jobs such as my stint with a furniture firm where I do 3D models with AutoCAD & Viz for their clients abroad. Aside from CAD works, I maintain the drawing archives in .DWG form and other files for future references and use. Also sees to it that systematic file retrieving, handling/editing and disposals for approval are properly monitored and recorded to avoid updated data confusions or loss. Also does research on other CAD software such as Microstation, Intergraph and 3Dstudio Max, visualization and rendering software and some specific programming languages that could be beneficial for the software as well as the user. My devotion to such field also taught me other tasks such as hardware and software installation and at times, configuration of software that I am familiar with. A PC user since the DOS era earns some edge over those who started with graphical user interface operating system. Use Windows 95, NT, 2000 and currently XP and quite familiar with Microsoft Office 2003. Other interests include Internet browsing for research and advancement.

As a Design & Drafting Major, I specialized in Industrial Plant design conceptualization and generate plans/drawings in AutoCAD. As a curriculum requirement, I took my OJT (On-Job-Training) in one of the Design-Build company in Cebu, Philippines. After graduation in 1990, I was absorbed and worked as CAD Operator/Draftsman with Metaphil Inc.
