Trainee Directional Driller/Trainee Drilling Engineer

Seeking a position to utilize my skills and abilities in an upstream(oil & gas) organization that offers security and professional growth while being resourceful, innovative and flexible.

Work Experience:
The details of work experiences while working as a “Steerer” (Trainee Directional Driller) with
Mitchell Drilling International are as below.

1. Well Planning- complete surface to inseam well planning which includes radius bend, calculation for KOP, finding out coordinate for SE, KOP, TGT.
2. BHA Design- finding out the lengths of non-mag. drill collars required, finding out the length of bit to directional sensor & bit to gamma sensor.
3. MWD - installation and maintenance of surface equipments such as MWD tool, computers, Amplifier, wires, antenna etc. logging the real time data.
4. Rigging up & down- sequence wise lowering BHA components and MWD tool down the hole, and following the SOP.
5. Steering- projecting the well path with real time data, giving steer to follow the desired well trajectory, planning lipcut points, find out the position in coal seam.
6. Ranging- finding out the deviation, projecting the exact position of target.
7. Down hole Motors- adjustment of bend, changing bits,cross over & bearing pack etc.
8. Paper work- preparing reports like focus gamma, end of radius bend, end of well. Maintaining daily operation log and inventory update etc.
9. Project Management- preparing plan on MS project, tracking the progress, meeting with clients.

Industrial Exposure and Internship details:
1) Company : Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), Ankleshwar Gujarat.
Period : 7 Weeks
Project Title : “ Surface, Downhole well testing & Data Acquision”

Brief Overview of Project:
The objective of the project is to determine the various Reservoir Parameters like(skin effect,
wellbore effect, capacity, permeability etc.) with the help of “Pressure Build Up Test” and done
temperature & pressure gradient survey, influx study, Test to check GLV functioning etc.

2) Have seen many “ Drilling & Workover Operation” like (Nitrogen application, perforation,
logging, well activation, pipe stucking etc.) during my 2 months internship.

3) Organisation Name : “Sofcon India pvt. Ltd”,noida.
Period : 4 weeks
Training : “Programmable Logic Controller and SCADA”.

Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in (Gas Engineering) from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), in May 2008 with CGPA 3.01 out of 4.00.
• Higher secondary from CBSE Board with (75%) first class in 2004.
• Senior secondary from CBSE Board with (80.24%) first class in 2002

Achievements:
• Got the Opportunity to Hit “first indian “CBM Lateral Well” through “Dymaxion Drilling Technology”for client (Reliance industry).
• Qualified for “Blue Belt” in “SHITO-RYU KARATE-DO” Affiliated to Utter Pradesh Karate Associations(Regd.)
• Won the silver medal in the 500m & got 3rd position in 1km race at school level.
• Actively participated in the 4km race “RUN FOR NATION” at U.P.E.S.Dehradun.
• Actively participated in the blood donation camp at UPES, Dehradun.
• Participated in General Management and Leadership Workshop held from 21 March to
25 March 2006 (5 days) by ReBirth-Inc.

I am a Petroleum engg.(specilization in Gas engg.) working since 2nd June 2008 as a Trainee Directional Driller (Steerer)in "MITCHELL DRILLING INTERNATIONAL" and have a solid commitment to oil & gas industry.
