GeophysicistSchlumberger Khartoum - AAAAID Building - Baladia Street, Sudan Company Industry: Oil/Petroleum Job Role/Department: Quality Control - Working on Schlumberger oil field service company, Exploration department (WesternGeco) from 1st November 2004 up to August 2008. - Conducting and Exploring for oil by applying seismic method for WNPOC (White Nile Petroleum Operation Company) and GNPOC (Greater Nile Petroleum Operation Company). - Working on land crew (Vibroseis + Geophones and Marsh phones). - Working on TZ crews (Dynamite + Hydrophones, Marsh phones and Geophones), using professional and latest equipments and software’s. - Handling all the weathering layers method (Refraction, LVL) from acquiring the data through processing to interpretation for the client, using (WINSISM) software and (OYO, ABEM -Terraloc 5) instruments. - Creating geometry files (Pre plot & Final SPS) using SPECS software, which is working under Linux. - Processing the seismic data using (VISTA) software until getting the brute stack for the client. - Background on (Omega and Seismos) processing software’s. - Other software’s (Testif - View QC) for checking the performance of the vibes and the instruments and the blasters. - Calculating production hours for the Supervisor’s daily reports, Producing daily order and shipment analysis for Regional Managers and General office duties covering a range of office equipment.
