Additional Information
During my Mechanical Engineering degree I have acquired a sound knowledge of leading edge engineering principles, tools and practices. Over the course of my degree I have been able to develop a good mix of subject specific, technical and transferable core skills. All of my units required me to solve problems using both logic and creative approaches. As my third year project was a review on Hybrid Electric Vehicles I was able to gain excellent research and analytical skills, not only did this project enable me to plan and prioritise work but also allowed me to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Throughout my degree, I employed maths as an instrument to communicate my designs, arrive at solutions and compose an analysis. I believe that the disclosure and development of customer needs and problems allows you to develop and provide a solution. All engineers need to have a logical mind and the ability to think ahead. I believe I have the ability to cope with pressure, keep my focus and work hard. I am competent with AutoCad Drawings and using Ideas software for engineering analysis, studying these programmes proves my capability of careful attention to detail and allows me to exercise good judgement. The most valuable experience I have acquired from my degree is performing with a team and working together, this has facilitated me to communicate with others and work in multidisciplinary teams.
