Inspector - Coating

Contribute to work safely environment. Daily quality inspection task and reporting. Prepare specification, consumption calculation and procedure (SOP). Handle technical inquiry,complaint and non-compliance issue.

Work as a technical site representative for 2 multi national paint company, for approx. 14 years.
A certified coating inspector with FROSIO NS476 Level III and IMM-TAFE Level II certification.
A freelance certified coating inspector, from end of 2007 to date.

Experience in handling many coating job scope, either in new construction, maintenance shutdown, refurbishment, conversion or rejuvenation. Especially for Marine and Oil & Gas industry segment.
Also involve in other coating job such OEM pipe coating, offshore pipe laying and deepwater subsea equipment.

Multi race and nationality work environment is common, both domestic and foreign venue.

Good knowledge in the material estimation, consumption control and generic coating system,
Well versed with the most used coating quality standard (NACE, ASTM, ISO etc) and its requirement criteria, from surface treatment phase, application sequence to its final acceptance.
Conversant on the common QA/QC practice such Performance Qualification Test (PQT), Inspection Test Plan (ITP), QA & QC Inspection, Non-Conformity Report (NCR) etc.

In hand knowledge to various coating type – epoxy & PU base, anti-fouling paint, Passive Fire Protection (PFP) coating, heavy duty coating (solvent free spray guard, reinforce glass-flake paint) and also metalizing (galvanizing and thermal spray aluminum (TSA)).

Also experienced in pipe coating plant (internal epoxy pipe coating, fused bonded epoxy (FBE), weight concrete coating) and offshore field joint coating (heat shrink sleeve - HSS), high density polyurethane foam - HDPUF) and special coating type metalizing – galvanize and thermal spray (TSA).

Good computer literacy skill. Effective interpersonal skill and well communicated in English and Malaysia language, both oral and writing.
