Professional Experience
For most of my career as a Drilling Fluid Engineer , I've been involved in onshore exploration and development. I've also been involved in offshore work especially with synthetic/oil based systems. Within my scope of work, I've also worked as Lead Engineer/Offshore and Completion Fluids Engineer. I have experience in an Integrated Fluid Management Environment which includes shakers, screens and centrifuges( Barite recovery and LGS removal). I also have considerable experience in Well Recap generation and software modeling of planning/drilling parameter VS mud parameter changes to maximize rig/mud efficiency. I've worked with mud weights ranging from 9.0ppg to 19.0ppg (barite and FERROX), temperatures ranging from 120F to 233F BHT, volumes ranging from 150bbls on surface to 5000bbls total circulating volume and depths ranging from 200 feet to 16500 feet (straight and deviated). I’ve also worked in the capacity of supervising the MI Trinidad Liquid Mud Plant for clients such as British Gas T&T and BP T&T.
JOB DESCRIPTION
To blend and maintain drilling fluids on well site, effectively use hydraulics/software on site to maximize drilling efficiency. Simulate using software alternative drilling fluid parameters to improve client operations. Manage well site stock inventory, total fluids management with regard to waste disposal and solids control equipment. Promote HSE values of client, drilling contractor and mud Service Company. Keep the relevant personnel informed about drilling fluid changes and activities. To provide a detailed well recap report at the end of the project and apply lessons learnt.
