Procurement Manager

To join an organization which would enable me to utilise professional experience in enabling environment

My total professional experience spans over a period of about 31 years. This includes 10 years in the company’s IT department and 21 years in Procurement Department. Progressively moving towards higher positions, I have gained sufficient experience in procurement for large projects involving Steel Linepipe, Large Gas Compressors, Telecommunications and SCADA equipment etc, many of which were funded by the World Bank. This has given me ample opportunity to actively involve in preparation and review of tender documents as well as drafting/reviewing contract documents, in addition to dealing with suppliers/bidders for contract administration etc. My job often involves negotiations with the suppliers during pre-contract and post-contract periods. I would also like to particularly mention here that I am a pivotal member of Bid Evaluation Committee which is a multidisciplinary team responsible for evaluation of high value tenders, for procurement of machinery and equipment.

I also look after physical warehouses of the company spread in about 15 locations and make sure that their inventories levels are maintained according to requirements.

In addition to the above, I also conduct in-house training courses for company’s executive officers and staff on various aspects of procurement in general ,contracts management and warehousing.

I hold Master's degree in Business Administration (Finance) from University of the Punjab, Lahore and Master’s in Economics from Government College, Lahore
