Offshore Installation Engineer

Responsible for the offshore construction activities from topside to subsea.

KEY EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

Familiar with the Asia Pacific region oil & gas industry upstream technologies from preliminary design up to fabrication and offshore construction stage. Experience in both the offshore shallow water and deepwater engineering construction methodology. Advise the estimated offshore construction cost to Tender Department during the preliminary bidding stage. Good contacts in Oil & Gas industry within the Asia Pacific region especially Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Offshore Platform Design
Proficiency in the use of computer software for effective engineering evaluations and calculations from fabrication stage until offshore in place operation – this include preliminary FEED design and Detailed design. Written specific Microsoft Excel spread sheet for engineering calculations. Possess latest design code for API, LRFD, BS8110, BS5950 and DNV rules. Familiar with the use of Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron, ConocoPhilips, Talisman, Woodside and PCSB design codes. Utilize effective working hours to optimize the design in order to save the cost of the materials and shortening the fabrication period. Confirm that the installation aids achieve high standard of safety and quality requirements.


Shallow Water Offshore Construction (0 to 100m water depth)

Familiar with the offshore shallow water technologies and construction methodology. Lead marine crew for the construction of offshore platforms and pipeline at the region of Asia Pacific with daily operation cost of Rm 1million. Give instruction to deck rigging, ROV, diving, welding and QHSE discipline during offshore campaign. Report daily progress to operation manager and plan ahead the next 48 hours construction activities. Written procedure, carry out analysis and advise the procurement of chemical, equipment and machinery used offshore.


Deepwater Offshore Construction (100 to 5000m water depth)

Working in the world class deepwater technologies such as FPSO, flexible riser, rigid spool, umbilical and flowline system. Familiar with the deepwater construction methodology such as vessel Dynamic Position, heave compensation crane, work class ROV workability. Generate procedure, calculation, drawing and analysis for the construction of subsea facilities.
