Tank Farm operation technician

18+ years
Five years experience as an Operator in Sri Lankan Petroleum Refinary.
I have 1 1/2 years experience in Aramco as a Utility Plant Operator.
I have worked in the Ultilty division during the Commissioning Period.
I ahve Four years experience in Aramco as a Crude Tank Farm&Terminal Operator.
5 1/2 years experience in Aramco yanbu Refinery As a Zone Operator and Control Room Operator.
2 years experience in the Aramco Mobil Yanbu Refinery.

Carries out activities for the loading and discharging of shore tanks
Coordinates with Process Operations, Laboratory, Safety Engineer and others to reduce the turnaround times and minimize waste
Responsible for accurate measurement of all movements of oil and oil products into and out of the Refinery storage tanks
Takes over from previous shift with log details of quantity calculations, irregularities, files and documents pertaining to the vessel loading and the gauging of the Refinery tanks
Is responsible for the proper sampling of Refinery tanks and delivery to samples to third party inspector and or Refinery laboratory
Continuously monitors and records in log book, , incident reports, etc., and skeleton shipping documents the progress of all loading/discharge operations
Takes necessary action to expedite loading/discharge and to conform to the schedule of quantities for loading/discharge
Conducts inspection tours of tanks and loading/discharge facilities to ensure smooth running and dependable service condition
Inspects tank gauging instruments, monitors the operations of the cargo loading pumps and associated diesel engines and electrical generators and initiates maintenance requests for all routine repairs
Monitors and schedules maintenance activities between loading/discharge activities
Approves work orders and issues safe work permits in conjunction with Safety Technician
Abides by all HSE and fire regulations. Is a member of the Firefighting Team.
Good English speaking and writing communication skills
Computer Skills for word processing and industry forms/reports
Experience: 18 years experience in oil refinery

Sucessfully completed the computer Awarenes program conducted by the Open University of Sri Lanka.
Sucessfully completed the Computer programming course counducted by The National Youth Center.
