Professional Experience
• Since July 2007 (present job) : Manager and faculty at Essar Learning Centre, Essar Academy, Corporate Human Resource, Essar Group.
• Need based skills development of freshly recruited diploma and graduate engineer trainees of Essar group of companies. Prepared and delivered training modules to the freshly recruited trainees
• Identification of needs of employees of Essar Group of companies and cater their needs by development of training modules, discussion and calculations of specific problems, design of induction training for Graduate and Diploma Engineer Trainee.
• Evaluation of training based on Kirk pettrik model. Designing of the evaluation criteria and analysis of feedback. Currently I am doing three level evaluations for the training programme.
• Recruitment process: visiting various campuses to recruit fresh graduates and diploma engineer. Conducting interviews of chemical engineering trainees in campus recruitment being panel member and evaluation based on technical skills, generic skills, leadership skills and behavioral skills.
• On the job training review of the graduate engineer trainees, performance review in consultation with plant supervisors for confirmation process. Currently I am looking after confirmation of 40 graduate engineer trainees and doing performance assessment and certification of M-11 level employees based on leadership qualities, technical skills, presentation skills, team working ability and role specific capabilities. Currently I am having 30 diploma engineer trainees under me.
• Developed training module on “Heat Exchangers” for the experienced employees of Essar group of companies. Discussing practical aspects of the heat exchangers and operational problems faced by employees during their routine plant job, the training got rating of 3.2 out of 4.
• July 1998-June 2007 : Lecturer (Sr. Scale), Chemical Engineering Dept., Institute of Diploma Studies, Nirma University of Science and Technology, Ahmedabad, India.

• July 2001 – November 2002 : Master of Chemical Engineering(Polymer Technology) from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda ,Result: 77.3% (Distinction GPA: 3.95 out of 4. Stood first through out 3 semester )
• September 1994 – May 1998: Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering at Dharamsinh Desai Institute of Technology, Nadiad. – Gujarat University, India. Result: 69.10% (First class with distinction)
Additional Information
Research Experience
“Studies on Polyethersulfone – Polyacrylonitrile Blend Ultrafiltration Membranes” at Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar from June 2002 – November 2002 during Master of Chemical Engineering dissertation work. I developed blend membranes and tested for rejection of charged solutes. The said membranes were used for rejection of di and tri- naphthalene sulphonic acid from effluent of Dyes Industries.

Achievements
• Equipped current library facility of Essar Steel Ltd, Hazira with new Libsys software. Coordinated the work of barcode creation and e resource generation for more than 3000 books within 3 months.
• I was the youngest member nominated for Task force developed by Gujarat Government for the upgradation of ITI level institution.
• Chairman of ISTE Faculty Chapter of Nirma Institute of Diploma Studies. Our chapter is recipient best faculty chapter award during my tenure as Chairman. The evaluation based on the quality of the programmes conducted during the year.
