Responsible for medical support to drilling and related operations. Primary Health care and trauma care to all contractors and local employees. Also responsible for the HSE during operations.
Medical Practitioner MECHEM Demining Sudan Group 4 Juba
Worked under UNMAO control and was certified ALS working under UN protocols in Sudan. Responsibilities included the Primary Health Care, Trauma Care, Evacuation of Injured and Hygiene monitoring of camps.
Medical Orderly to Marion Expedition 64 and Marion Island Construction Project
Base out on Marion Island 2500km South East from Cape Town in the Antarctic Ocean. I was responsible for the health and psychological well being off the expedition members. All health related issues for both the expedition and the construction project, which included oral hygiene care, emergency dental care, radiology, hygiene inspections, safety inspection/report on construction site, preventative health inspections and trauma care. I was also approach by the biologists for veterinary care on mammals and sea birds found on the island. I was responsible for the medical supplies and reports (Weekly and monthly) for both projects. I also presented to the Project Manager of the construction an evaluation of the medical facility for the new base and supplied detailed medical equipment requirements.
Maritime Medical Operations Officer to SA Navy at Institute for Maritime Medicine Simon’s Town (Military Rank of Major)
Positioned to perform the medical operational support to the SA Navy’s capabilities, surface fleet, submarines, operational diving teams and operational boat squadrons. I had to develop new Corvettes and Submarines medical support plans and equip medical facilities with world class equipment. Management of 20 Operational Emergency Care Practitioner (OECP) (Equivalent to Naval Corpsmen) with regard to development and training. Gather and provide health intelligence for naval operations to foreign countries. Operational officer for maritime operations in South African territory and international deployments of SA Naval vessels.

Grade 12 completed. Completed Military Paramedic training in 1993 and is currently still registered. Completed Diploma in Advanced Project Management. Currently busy with AREMT-P program to register as ALS Paramedic in UK and Australasia.
