I need a challenging assignment where my skills in IT Infrastructure, high availabile operations, Operational performance, groomed existing team and motivated for new challenges, program Management and DR planning is used.

I have built IT Infrastructure, reduced operational risks and created high availability operations. Improved Operational performance, groomed existing team and motivated for new challenges, performed program Management functions, designed and implemented Backup strategy and created a DR plan, which is under implementation.

Projects done included a new Data Center, IP Telephony for 5,000 employees over private WAN, 60 seat Call Center, Structured LANs in over 40 buildings/campuses, Broadband WAN (for 120 locations with aerial dark fiber, 80 radio towers & DSL as applicable).

Implemented SAP (ERP) successfully, improved oracle based billing system and created new utility specific applications for improved operations.

Brief Employment History
Feb 2006 Onwards
Working as CIO/Executive Director-IT/Advisor in KESC (Karachi Electric Supply Company) reporting to CEO. Performed following key functions in the last two year, which will transform KESC into an IT enabled company in next few years:
1. Planned and started development process for KESC IT Infrastructure, Applications, Data, Network and Communications infrastructure for world class services to users.
2. Developed IT strategy, policies, procedures as well as IT security standards, policies and procedures.
3. Planned a strategy with CEO for turnaround of KESC, using technology and taking steps gradually to implement them in next two years.
4. Implemented new and migrated some older applications to SAP ERP (FI/CO, HR, PM, SD and MM) supporting many aspects of KESC business and operational activities. SAP ISU is also signed which will make KESC one of the top utilities in the region in two years’ time.
5. Played major role in Electric Utility specific projects like SCADA and Automated Metering. Some work was also done on Broadband over Power lines project.
6. Provided KESC management with tools and information to make key decision to revamp the organization as a successful utility operation.
