Commissioning Team Leader

Seeking new challenges in an international working environment which will effectively utilize my 25 years of experience in operations, construction, commissioning and management in the oil, petrochemical and gas industries

Had accumulated over 25 years of working experience specifically in the areas of operations, construction, maintenance and commissioning. Thirteen (13) of those years were under the employment of the oil companies namely, Shell Refinery Co (FOM) Sdn Bhd and Petronas Penapisan Sdn Bhd holding several positions from Field Technicians to Lead Technician and finally promoted as Production Specialist/Supervisor. Resigned from Petronas to join a Plastic Injection Manufacturing Company as General Manager for three (3) years. Later set-up a partnership company to provide Technical and Mechanical Services to Oil and Gas Industries.
He had participated in the commissioning of several newly constructed plants, such as Platformer 2 complex consisting of Continuous Catalytic Regeneration Platforming unit, Hydrotreating unit, Hydrodesulphuriser and Crude Distillation Unit.
Razaki has been directly involved in several major turnarounds, numerous shutdowns and mini-shutdowns, in a number of positions and capacities. Some of his roles included the development and preparation of shutdown and startup procedures, operating procedures, HAZOP, JSA, commissioning and decommissioning of specific equipment and operating systems.
Razaki resigned from PETRONAS in 1995 to lead a newly set-up company which was involved in the manufacturing of plastic-injection parts for the automotive industry. As General Manager, he was responsible for the selection of machinery and equipment, the design and development of new products, in addition to managing the daily operations of the company. Within three years, the company was successfully appointed as a Proton Vendor, and went on to form a joint-venture with a German firm for the production of automotive Inner Trims.
In 1997 together with two other partners, he started Inkaten Sdn Bhd, a company providing trading, technical and mechanical services to the Oil and Gas industries. As Business Director, he was responsible for managing the operations, procurement and finances of the company. Over a span of 11 years, he successfully supervised and delivered several construction, maintenance and commissioning projects in the Oil and Gas industries. Other area of responsiblity include planning, procurement, logistic, operations and overall management.
