o Type of Aircraft: Small, Medium & Large Turboprops and Airplanes: PT-6, F-6 & FT-6 aircraft (China), Fouga-CM170 aircraft (France), AN-26 Transport aircraft & MI-17 Helicopter (USSR), L-39ZA aircraft (Czech Republic), Bell-206/Bell-212 Helicopter & C-130 Transport Aircraft (USA).
o Type of Instruments: Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical and Fluidic.
o Area of Work: Inspection, rectification, installation, replacement, cannibalization, modification, operation and maintenance of Aircraft Electrical & Instrument (Avionics) equipments.
o Workshop skills: Calibration/ Measuring Instrument including operation of Tester/ test equipment of Navigation, Autopilot, Gyroscopic, Flight Control system, Compass, Pitot-Static, Oxygen, Pressure and Control system (Oil, Fuel, Hydraulic & Pneumatic), Power Plant (Engine), Fire Alarm, Miscellaneous and Ground Power Equipment (AC/DC Generators, Batteries and Chargers etc).
o Essential Skills: Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems, Repair and adjust system components, Remove and replace defective parts, Install new control instruments, Calibrate components and instruments, Determine testing and maintenance procedures, Install new measuring instruments.
o Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work, complete test and maintenance reports, Read circuit diagrams, Logical approach for troubleshooting, Coach and instruct apprentices.
o Specific Skills: Operated automated or computerized control systems, Monitor and inspect power plant equipment, Signal indicators, Measure temperature, pressure, flow and level instruments, Speed measurement indicators, fuel flow and pressure, Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction, Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required, Perform routine equipment maintenance, Clean and lubricate machinery and components.
o Adverse situation: Problem solving by using multi discipline analysis with the help of expertise, Technical Order, Technical Bulletin, Manuals and Publications. Manipulation of adverse situation, to work efficiently and thoroughly under pressure. Critical thinking, decision-making, job task planning and organizing, finding information and continuous learning.
