Current Designation: Inspection Engineer
Current Organization: Kuwait National Petroleum Company – Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery.
Current Functional Area: Risk Based Inspection
Current Job Description: To carry out inspection and testing of all static equipment of process plants and pipelines and provides analyses of equipment condition.
To collect data and history for static assets for Risk Based Inspection using Shell’s RRM. To prepare corrosion rate charts based on thickness measurement records
Main Accountabilities: - To carry out regular and shutdown inspection activities for stationary equipment, PSVs and pipelines.
- To determine failure prone areas of concern and propose timely inspection procedures to avoid Plant downtime.
-To carry out failure investigation and root cause analyses for unexpected breakdowns and to suggest alternative recommendations regarding material up-gradation.
- To prepare data to implement and updates the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology to enhance Plants Integrity and Reliability in order to optimize inspection frequencies, maintenance cost and Plants Availability.
- To issue repair and welding procedures. To carry out stage-wise inspection of repair / new fabrication of equipments and pipelines.
- To supervise non-destructive testing of equipment and piping and give interpretations of results.
- To witness testing and calibration of safety relief valves.
- To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures

Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering in MECHATRONICS / MECHANICAL discipline with Honors

ASNT certified Level II in Radiographic Inspection

Work Achievements: 1. Consolidation/Standardization of RBI Database for Reliance Industries’ Hazira Petrochemical Complex
2. Study of piping system and determination of Corrosion Loops for Naphtha Cracker, Aromatics, Butadiene & Chlorine Handling Facility as a part of Asset Integrity Management System for RBI
3. Corrosion Under Insulation/ Small bore piping survey of Aromatics/ Chlorine Handling Plants for RIL Hazira
4. Exhaustive audit of all cooling water towers of RIL, Hazira Complex to find out abnormalities and suggest rectifications
