Position: Control & Instrumentation Engineer

- Working in western desert field / Abu – sannan gas plant with capacity of 85 mmscf/day – control & instrumentation department.

- Fields of Responsibility:
-To be responsible for the plant instrumentation and
control systems which include:-
• More than 3000 complete loops ( about 970 I/O, instrumentation & MIMIC diagram ).
• Most of instrumentation in the plant are Taylor, Foxboro, ITT Barton, Masonelian & Fisher controls.
• 5 ( Ruston ) Gas Turbine Driving 3 ( General Electric ) Electric Generators & 2 ( Delaval Stork ) Gas Compressors.
• 5 ( Waukesha ) Gas Engines Driving 5 ( Dresser ) Gas Compressors.
• 2 ( Ajax ) Gas Engine Driven Gas Compressors.
• 3 Motor Driven Gas Compressors ( Worthington ).
• 4 ( Ingresoll Rand ) Air Compressor.


- To join instrument team and cooperate with engineers, foremen & technicians in all engineering activities including:-
• Devices preparation, calibration and
installation.
• Schedule maintenance troubleshooting and repair.

- To Re-engineer & implement the required changes in the control system of some equipments to improve their performance.

- To establish a kind of coordination with other engineering departments to get optimum plant performance & to keep the plant running smoothly and in safe way.

- To prepare the spare parts lists for both on skid & off skid instrument order to control the stoked spare parts:
• To establish and follow up the required spare parts.
• To optimize inventories of the spare parts and general materials without harming the maintenance required.

- To plan the instrument maintenance activities, both corrective & preventive, specifying calibration procedure, improve & optimize maintenance system using computer database ( I have dealt with " EMPAC" which is oracle based database software & MAXSIMO database ).

- To arrange all work permits from operation / plant authority for different activities ( maintenance, installation,. . . etc)
