Professional Experience
Mr. Vyas has Total 22 years of experience in process industries in process engineering and project management.
Mr. Vyas is currently working as a Process lead in Shaw Canada LP (Toronto) for MSAT( Mobile Sources Air Toxics) II Project for Marathon, The project involves reduction in the benzene content in the gasoline blend product. Project involves revamp in the Sulfolane unit( Liquid –Liquid extraction) Pre extraction, Extraction and Post extraction sections
He is responsible for all key process deliverables of the project including PFDs, P & IDs, hydraulics calc., pump selection ,process simulations ,exchanger design and data sheets using HTRI 5.0, Column and vessel design and data sheets etc. Mr. Vyas successfully completed FEED phase of the project and now is working in the detailed engineering phase of the project. Scope involves red lining all squad checks for equipments purchased for the project. Process support for construction work package preparation in terms of demolition P & IDs update, P & IDs update and verification of vendor data for revalidation of process design
From May 2006 till January 2008, Mr. Vyas worked in different refinery projects as listed below in Bantrel Co., Toronto, Canada:
SUNOCO REFINERY – CRUDE AND VACUUM, FCC REVAMP He had opportunity to carry out various process engineering functions like line hydraulics calc. , pump evaluation , process simulations , relief valve sizing , exchanger design using HTRI 5.0, flare header sizing using flare net etc. He used extensive process engineering suites like HYSYS 4.0 , Pro II , Flare net and In house process engineering tools etc He was advanced to Lead Position in Oct 2006.
PETROCANADA REFINERY PROJECT He worked on Petro Canada Refinery Project on Sour water system and Amine Absorbers for seven months. He was promoted to Senior position from July 2007.
SUNCOR VOYAGEUR PROJECT He worked as a sub lead for a major grass root project (Suncor Voyageur)in U & O systems- EDS phase for design of Utilities and off sites.
.May 1994 – Dec 2003: SABIC : Responsible for Process Engineering Functions for offsites and utilities. Developed Front end packages, MOC, Hazop studies, Major project includes revamp of furnaces, incinerator, Sales gas project, Steam system expansion project etc.

Qualification and accreditations:
• Member –OACETT (Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians & Technologists).
• Graduate Engineer,( Bachelor of Technology), India (Distinction and 3rd rank),
• Conversant with HYSYS 4.0, PRO II, EUTECH PEL engineering software, Inplant, Process Information Systems like Exaquantum and Macroview.
• Applied for P ENG at PEO.Application is under ERC review.
• Completed Yukogawa Centum CS DCS basic operation course.
• Completed Bantrel’s Supervisory development Workshop to assume lead’s role.
• Completed Advanced course in Functional Safety Engineering I and II from Exida Canada.
